Hello!

There are so many wonderful things going on within this Trailwood Community, I just couldn't wait until December to share them with you. Check out updated important dates and some additions to the November newsletter, as well as reminders for ongoing events. My hope is this creates a more collaborative and connected feeling towards this unusual school year.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please do not hesitate to reach out.

Family fun has arrived!

Kits have been delivered to Trailwood! Now you can paint over Thanksgiving break! For those that are in-person learning, your kits have been sent home with your oldest student. Remote learners, your kits are waiting for you in the office. They are due back to Trailwood when we return on Dec. 2. Ceramic Cafe will fire the ornaments and bring them to Trailwood so they can be delivered to your student Dec. 15-17.

If you have any questions, please contact Karen Badgett at kabadgett@gmail.com.

We love our teachers and staff!

Now more than ever, it is so important to shower our Trailwood teachers and staff with as much love and support as we can. Check out the amazing team shirts we were able to provide (thank you Mark Botsford for the design!), as well as a "Thanks a Latte" gift to be given before Thanksgiving break. These gifts and your continued words of encouragement and support have meant so much to this wonderful TW team!

T-Birds Serve/Harvesters Food Box Drive

November 9th-19th

This year, T-Birds Serve is not able to offer our group hands-on community service projects, but we're looking for ways to help your family give back during this crazy time!

Pack to Give Back - Harvesters Holiday Boxes
Many holiday memories are made around a festive meal. However, this year for more than 387,000 people in the 26-county service area that Harvesters serves, a festive meal and tableside memories are not certain.

Over the next two weeks, we are asking the Trailwood community to provide Holiday Boxes for Harvesters.  Shop as a family (or do grocery pickup!) and print out the "Packed By" cards and leave a special note in your 'box'.  Or you can just decorate a card!  Please donate the entire contents (it's about $10) for the box in a tied plastic bag.  The finished bag can be dropped in the Harvesters bin located in the front vestibule by the main office at Trailwood.  Bags are due back to Trailwood by Nov. 19!

Each holiday bag should include the following items:
- 1 Package Stuffing Mix
- 1 15 oz Can Sweet Potatoes
- 1 14 oz Can Cranberry Sauce
- 1 15.25 oz Can Corn
- 2 14.5 oz Cans Green Beans
- 1 Package Gravy Mix
- 1 Package Corn Bread Mix
- 1 Package Instant Mashed Potatoes
- 1 10.5 oz Can Cream of Mushroom Soup

Not able to shop?  That's OK!  Donate $10 and we will do the shopping for you.  Drop off cash with Shereen or Venmo at www.venmo.com/Kim-Whitman-5.

Any questions? Please contact Kim Whitman at kimberlydwhitman@hotmail.com or 816-260-6459.

Please continue to upload photos to the yearbook link: plicbooks.com/go/krYpg or email your photos to Vivian Hamilton at vivian@outlookcreative.com and Heidi Erenberg at heids07@gmail.com. We know that everyone has great multiple "First Days" (first day remote, first day hybrid, first day full-time) photos and other fun photos with sports, friends, family, neighbors, and Halloween!!! We want it ALL!!!

Thank you kindly for all your help to make the yearbook as representative of the crazy year we are navigating.
